Black And Grey

Black And Grey was founded in in 1991 in Boston MA. The band consisted of Jonny Rely (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Dan Shaw (Bass Guitar), Matt Sandonato (Lead Guitar) and Joe “The Hammer” Tobias (Drums). Past members include Will Carroll, (Bass Guitar) Jeff Freier, (Lead Guitar), John O’Neil (Bass Guitar). Joe Sac (Bass Guitar) and Lee Zoumas (Lead Guitar, deceased). Despite a reputation for exceptional song writing and mesmerizing live performances, Black And Grey remained on the fringes of the Boston music scene. Although the line up would undergo several periods of change, Singer/Songwriter Jonny Rely remained a constant, releasing the albums “The Criminal Years and more recently “When God Comes For Your Soul”. Rely continues to record, but live performances have been extremely limited due to years of severe health issues. Jonny is currently working on three new records, now under the name Rely. New music can also be heard in the independent short films "Green Lakes" and "The Wig People" The original lineup has reunited and plans to play some shows in the near future. The original lineup remains, Jonny Rely on lead vocals and guitar, Matt on lead guitar, Dan on bass and Joe on drums. 2023 will see the re-launch of littleguy records. Jonny also collaborates with his twin brother Marc’s company Rely Nine Films, which among other works has produced music videos for Black And Grey and others.
