MENFOLK

                                          BIO

Menfolk was formed in 1986 by three High School friends; Jonny Rely, Tim Graham and Dan Shaw. After Tim left the Marines and Jonny left grad school they moved to Boston where they added Berkelee School Of Music drummer Jamie Riekens. They played clubs all over southern New England, particularly Boston, Providence and Newport RI. After Riekens had to move back to Minnesota they added drummer Mark Hutchins. After he left, Jim Ohm took over the drums. After he left they added high school friend Tommy Pica who had played with Rely and Graham in High School. They would go on to record several E.P.s but eventually both Graham and Pica left the band. Rely and Shaw then teamed with Matt Sandonoto and Joe "The Hammer" Tobias. They continued to play as Menfolk for a short time but after Rely got cancer for the first time they voted on a fresh start and changed the band's name to Black And Grey.
